One Epic Football Celebration From Grand Final showdowns to State Team clashes, the Mitre Festival of Football returns bigger than ever in 2026, bringing together the very best of Queensland football across five massive weeks and 15 unmissable matches. The festival kicks off on Saturday 5 September as Goodwin Park hosts the FQPL 2-6 Metro Grand Finals, before the spotlight shifts to Spencer Park for the NPL Queensland and FQPL 1 Grand Finals on Saturday 12 September. Representative football then takes centre stage as the Queensland Men's State Team, featuring the brightest emerging talent from NPL Queensland, faces off against the exciting challenge of Brisbane Roar in back-to-back clashes at Spencer Park and AJ Kelly Park. The festival concludes on the Sunshine Coast as the Queensland Women's State Team takes on Brisbane Roar at Sunshine Coast Stadium as part of the Pacific Championships, showcasing the very best of the women's game in Queensland. 5 September FQPL 2 - 3 Metro Grand
