Trashion Parade

Ipswich Climate Action Group is hosting the third Trashion Parade, as part of the Ipswich City Council's Sustainability Festival. A runway will be set up for contestants to strut their best Op Shop ensemble, their unique wearable art or up-scaled, recycled fashion piece or outfit. This year, we also have a Halloween category, and a category for accessories and single items. Creative outfits for children or families are also welcome. There are competitions for the most creative, original items within the boundaries of sustainable design, over seven categories. It is great fun for the whole community, and is not meant to be taken too seriously, except for the message of sustainability. Come along and learn how to keep textiles out of landfill! Audience members just bring a gold coin entry and money for the raffle. For contestants, there is a AUD10 fee for the first entry, and AUD5 for any subsequent entries.
